Corolla Parts Exchange

An old concept made new. Myself and the rest of the Speed Hero crew are big fans of older Toyota Corollas. From this love spawned the need for a retention of older Corolla’s on the road. The more we keep them on the roads, the longer they will be around to enjoy. Thus the Corolla Parts Exchange was born.

The Mission:

Primary:

Keep as many  Corollas running and operational on the road.

Secondary:

To save as many parts from ruined Corollas.

What:

We are primarily focused on 1969 through 1987 RWD models, and some newer 4WD models. we are also interested in many other older Toyota’s such as Celicas, Supras, Coronas, Crowns, Starlets, etc. However, feel free to contact us with any and all older vehicles!

Who:

Everyone who owns a Corolla is welcome, whether they are an enthusiast or not.

How:

There is no fee or cost involved in the use of this parts exchange. The exchange itself is optional. We realize there is a wide variety of people using older Corollas. From those who are poor and use them simply for transportation, those who enjoy their long lasting design and reliability, and those who are enthusiasts. In any of these cases these people are all equal as long as their interest is to keep their car on the road, we are willing to help.

We welcome all donations, some people are not comfortable just taking and are welcome to give whatever way they can. Donations of parts, supplies, tools, money, or your time is welcomed with open arms, however, you should never feel obligated to contribute, and only do so when you are able to. There are plenty of ways to help out, ask us how!

Where:

Currently there is a small stock of parts collected at my residence. Until we get a bigger area this is the primary location of exchange. I and others are willing to meet you if you are in need of a part we have.

When:

Anytime, I operate from my house so anytime is good to contact me directly for your Corolla related questions.

Inventory is changing all the time, feel free to call or email!

Services:

  • Vehicle Removal
  • Vehicle Disassembly
  • Note: Our Services will expand with time and resources.

Contact Information: Please call or email us with any Questions, Comments, Requests, or Leads regarding Corollas and other old Toyotas. (We are also open to any other older vehicles! Old cars are great, and we want to save them all.)

Regarding mixing a FWD engine with a RWD transmission; Apart from motor mounts and an oil pan, the only glitch I believe there is, is the adaptation of the RWD transmission because of the possible differences with mounting of the clutch and imput shaft. Is this correct? I have a 1990 Corolla engine and want to match it to a T50 trans. Someone said that the FWD cranks are not drilled for a pilot bearing. Thanks

I have a 1981 corolla, 5 speed. I saved it from being used as a greenhouse on Galiano. New plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air filter, fuel filter and an oil change brought her back from the grave. The body is beat to hell (from Boston, was rolled on Galiano) but the motor and transmission are doing fine. I’m replacing the head gasket on my 89 sentra right now, but next will be going over the rolla and seeing if it’s worth fixing. I might just pull the engine and transmission and attempt my first rebuilds. You’re parts exchange is definitely interesting!
